Step 1: Go to the Test Your Device page
Before class, you can test your camera and mic on Moxie's Test Your Device page: https://moxie.xyz/studio/test. You do not need an account to test your device.
If you are logged in, you can also get to this page by doing the following:
- Click your name in the top righthand corner (3 horizontal lines on mobile).
- Click Test Your Device.
Step 2: Enable your camera and microphone
You should see a pop-up asking for permissions to use your camera and microphone for the class. It’s critical to enable them for an awesome training experience.

Step 3: Test your camera and microphone
- Select your speaker. You will hear a sound when you click the red Test button.
- Select your microphone. The Input Level bar will move up and down when you speak.
- Select your camera.
- Your camera feed will appear in the box at the right of the page.
Step 4: If you missed the popup (optional)
If you have missed the pop-up window - no worries - you can follow these steps below to enable them again.
Chrome
- Click the lock icon to the left of your address bar. A pop-up will appear with a list of permissions management options.
- Click the drop-down list to the right of the Camera label.
- Choose the option Allow.
- Click the drop-down list to the right of the Microphone label.
- Choose the option Allow.
- Reload the page.
Safari
- Try refreshing the page - the permissions pop-up should appear again.
- If the pop-up did not appear, on the top bar click on Safari -> Preferences.
- In the preferences window, navigate to Website section find Camera and click on moxie.xyz selector and choose "Allow".
- Repeat the same for Microphone.
- Reload the page.
If your camera and mic are still not working
MacOS
- Click the Apple icon (top lefthand corner of the screen).
- Click System Preferences.
- Click Security & Privacy.
- Click Camera or Microphone.
- Verify the checkbox is checked for your internet browser.
Windows
- Click Start (Windows icon).
- Open Settings (gear icon).
- Click on Privacy.
- Click on Camera or Microphone.
- Under Allow apps to access your camera, verify the toggle is set to On.
- Under Allow desktop apps to access your camera, verify the toggle is set to On and your browser is listed.
